Artist Statement
My early works were defined by my lack of real art training. Yes, I had taken art classes in school and had fun, but they had never really struck me in a way that left an impact, until I began to experiment with digital mediums. Being a nerdy kid, I loved and was good with computers, and always interested in learning more about the power of technology. I realized that there were ways to use the immense power of technology to create art.
My current work comes from the inspiration of dozens of locations and means street art, movie posters, advertising, and album covers. Once I entered college, the amount I knew about and, the styles I was introduced to and works that I began to study began to bleed into my works. There are always new areas to explore, new techniques to learn and people to be inspired by, and the hardest part is letting go of what you know you can do and forcing yourself to try something difficult.
